The recent earthquakes occurred in Turkey that located in an active seismic zone of a large part of the residential settlements are seen of damages beyond the limits of the acceptable at reinforced concrete buildings as other structures. Not show the enough performance in earthquakes exposed of these buildings are possible to connect to a lack of one or more of stiffness, ductility, stability, strength and durability characteristics having in themselves. On the other hand, vertical structural elements selected for earthquake-resistant design is obvious to be significant on that damages. In this study in the circumstances, the rough construction costs and performances earthquake of frame systems that having different stiffener members and the conventional reinforced concrete frame system according to earthquake considered different soil types the proposed Regulation about Buildings to be Built in Seismic Zones are comparatively examined. With this purpose, the earthquake performances and mentioned costs (concrete and steel quantities) of reinforced concrete buildings having different stiffeners elements selected as the example were obtained with the help of Sta4-CAD program. The findings obtained from structural analysis of each system taken into account in study are examined, contrary to expectations, of the rough construction costs of buildings mentioned in case use of the different stiffness elements were observed lower than the traditional frameworks.
